Born 29-01-1985 in Badajoz, Spain.
Antonio and his two younger sisters Candy and Blanca Mariñas Soto grew up with their parents, Ana and Antonio in Badajoz before moving to Elvas Portugal in 2010. Antonio started competing at the age of 8. He mixed studying with equestrianism until he passed his Law and Business Administration degree at the university of ICADE, Madrid in 2009, aged 24. He then pursued his passion for show jumping full time.
Antonio moved from Spain to Holland to train and increase his knowledge and experience at Dutch Olympic rider Albert Voorn’s establishment. He also gained experience of working at professional dealing yards in Holland and Belgium. During this period of time, Antonio excelled in producing horses to Grand Prix level. Antonio has represented his country at 5 Championships, including the senior European Championships in Madrid abroad Al Capone, a horse he produced from a 4-year-old. In 2013 he won the Spanish Championship with Cash and Go, another horse he produced from 3 years old.
Antonio moved to the UK after meeting Ellen in 2013. Since then Antonio and Ellen have been dedicated to building a family life whilst working together in producing, buying, selling and competing horses.
Antonio competes at a high level and although the sport is his passion his main focus is the business and the production of quality horses.
